I have been having some issues with my check gauge light recently. First off, I have an 02 ranger edge 3.0 auto tranny 72+k miles. I've had a severe miss lately that I have identified as the coil pack being the culprit but havent had the time to replace. Since about 2 weeks now, my check gauge light comes on intermin while the truck misses in idle seems to follow the miss. All my gauges are fine. The only thing I see is that the light bulb for the speedo covering the 60-70 mph are out which went out since all this has been going on. Any ideas?

 

a light bulb being out wont cause that light to come on. its prob coming on cause your truck is ideling so low are is missing. i would get that coil pack changed out and get the missing fixed
