Cleaning the IAC valve???
 

i want to clean my iac valve on my 94 ranger, what type of cleaner should i use to do this and what is the best procedure to clean it?

I believe just GumOut or other carb cleaner. Take the screws out and clean out the housing and the valve and after it dries put it back together.

ok, i took the iac off and cleaned it good. there was alot of carbon in it and i tried to use some cotton swabs to help also, obviously i couldnt get all of the carbon, i put it back on the truck.....i hope it heped my idle sticking problem, but until i take a nice long drive with rpms over 2k for some time, i wont know.
