98 ranger clutch question

iv drove about 5 different manual transmission cars. the all had pretty much the same thign in common. the cluch had some good resistance in them and there in grab point was like as soon as u start letting the cluch out. Now my ranger it has like no reistance its all most like pressing the throttle down. and it grabs about 3/4 the way out. is this normal for this truck. or what. it doesnt seem to slip and it pulls out on hills ok. im just concerned after driving my cav that there is something wrong with my ranger

Were your other car's clutches controlled by a cable? The Ranger being a hydraulic clutch may be why it feels different. The way you describe your truck sounds just like my '97 was and it worked fine for me.
