Dealer PCM reprogram?
Any info on what this entails? Or and testimonials of it actually working? I'm about to burn my truck down if I don't figure this out lol. Thanks

A dealer can program your PCM to the latest calibration, which may include updates for shift strategy, fuel mapping, timing, idle quality etc. If your truck has a problem, odds are the recalibration will not resolve it.
What is the problem you are having? |

What is the problem you are having? PCM's just don't go bad. usually. |
But an update should help with what Justin said. Its worth getting it done. Are they free?

A PCM recal pays between 0.7 and 1.0 usually @ $100/hr or whatever their labor rate is

Started out having a jerk in the truck at consistent speeds on cooler mornings about a year ago, it now cutts out consistently on every drive while accelerating slowly as well.
Replaced: Cam sensor Synchronizer vss Fuel pump Fuel filter Dpfe Coil pack/wires/plugs Fuel pressure regulator (sure there's more, but I've tried so many things that I can't remember) Also tried unhooking the exhaust just before the cats to see if the converters were breaking down and causing too much back pressure with no improvement. I checked the injectors on the passenger side of the truck and received about 15.5 ohm of resistance as well as the center injector on driver side(intake headers me from reaching the front and back) If anyone has any ideas I'd greatly appreciate it |
Do you have the stock intake on the truck with the stock air filter? have you replaced or cleaned the MAF? does the truck have an automatic transmission?

And its a 96 "Mazda b3000" with the 3.0l |
2000 3 liter pinger
I went with an aftermarket PCM reprog Company for my 2000 3 L XLT 4X2
Didn't fix anything I might try letting the dealership reflash my PCM maybe theirs works better. I wish I could just replace the whole thing with an aftermarket controller for my 3L motor and the automatic tranny.. Does my PCM have any control over the tranny or is that separate:lick:? |
PCM controls entire drivetrain. To the OP check your VSS feed not sure when the switch occurred but my 03 had 2 speed sensors in the trans i left one unhooked when i did my 5 speed swap and it jerk and stalled and ran really rough under acceleration. Id check the connections closely it uses them to calibrate fuel maps and my incorrect speed made it run super rich and it stalled itself out.
