04' Ranger wont shift over 93mph
I drive a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge 4x2, My friends push our cars down the freeway sometimes and I could normally max out somewhere after 110mph. I got stuck in some mud a week or so ago and had to keep throwing it into drive and reverse (Seriously stuck). Now my truck wont push past 93. The RPM gauge hits 4-5k rpms and the truck shakes like **** and I can feel the truck jerking back and forth. After 93 it wont change gears like it used too. When I let off the gas the RPMS stay up for a couple seconds then drop fast. Not really sure whats goin on... Is this an engine or transmission problem? It's not a governor problem because I used to push way past 93...

93 is the governor limit, so if you've done more than that, it's been removed at some point. Holding your (what I assume to be) stock truck at 5k RPM and 93+ MPH is more than asking for trouble; you're writing a death sentence. Not to mention the damage you've probably already done to the engine and drivetrain by sinking it in the mud.
If you're trying to destroy your truck, just send it my way and I'll find something that will get the job done but not kill you in the process.

So im guessing you don't know the answer. I've seen other threads similar to this one and no one complains about going over 90mph. Grow some *****.
XCal2 chip it is then, thanks for nothing.
