Engine & tranny swap possible?
 

A co-worker has a 92 2wd ranger with the 2.9 and 5 speed. He also has a 93 4cyl 2wd ranger with a 5 speed, and asked if the 92 engine and tranny could be swapped into the 93. How hard would it be to do this?

Possible ? id say yeh. But why .. Im going to guess the 93 has the 2.3 in it. I would chose the 2.3 over a 2.9 ANY day. That just my 2 cents. Now if the motor in the 93 is bad then it makes go for it but. Id go for just swaping a 4.0 into it though.
