Fender Flare Installation

Hi. I'm trying to install some Bushwacker 21915-02 fender flares. I removed the mudflaps but still have this mudflap bracket. The brackets on the real also
stabilize the fender. Do I have to cut around the flare for them to fit? Also what's the boxy looking thing there?

Any help is appreciated.

That is the leaf spring bumper.

Don't cut the leaf spring bumpers. I cut that outer part of the fender flare bracket off of my 96 when I put flares on mine. You could always fabricate a support for the rear fenders, or pick up a set at the scrap yard and modify those .

Fender Flares

Hi. Thanks for the info on the flares. There are two pieced called Inner Piece Left and Right that go on the two front fenders. They are supposed to bolt up to two factory screws on each front fender. These holes don't line up and the curve if the inner pieces don't seem to follow the fender line. How did you deal with these? Pics attached.

Thanks
