Fuel Injector Question

I have a 1993 Ford Ranger, and im am trying to replace my head gasket. The problem is that i have to take off the Fuel Injectors to get to the head gasket. And from my understanding ford makes a special tool that does this. Is there any way I can get them out without the tool. Or am I going o have to go spend a lot of money to get the tool or get somone to do it for me? Thannks for your help.

The only "special" tool I can think of is the tool that separates the high pressure fuel line connections. You can simply pull the fuel rail from the lower intake and set it to the side, no special tools required.

In my 2000 3.0L, I didn't have to take the injectors out to access the head. Maybe it is different for 3rd gen or do you have the I-4?

EDIT: I just realized you posted in the 3.0 V6 Tech Forum
