should of taken the tranny out with it. and everything should line up once you get the bell housing bolts in.

so get the bell housing bolts in an then try and line up the converter

Bolt your torque converter to the flexplate, then drop the motor in. Leave the inspection cover off the bottom of the bellhousing,

Engine back in - Couple of Jacks

Thanks Men....I ended up "eye balling" the line up by measuring the degrees rotation from top center of each the TC and the Flex Plate. Then after removing the motor mount brackets for more wiggle room, used a couple of jacks (one on the trans, the other under the oil pan) to get everything square. Millimeter by millimeter. Next time both units come out at the same time as suggested.

Words to the wise...don't let anybody else help with this method....although well intentioned they tend to undo each micro alignment adjustment made. My budy was driving me crazy. My final intruction to him was "please don't touch a flipp'n thing or I'll hook you to the hoist by the belt loop and put ya in the street for public viewing!!!".

Thanks again....I'll let you know if it starts! Rob
