Seafoam through the vacuum line doesn't clean the injectors. If you happen to have a $450 injection cleaning rig that hooks up to the schraeder valve of the fuel rail, then, yes Seafoam will clean the injectors.

There is one main cleaning ingredient in all fuel injector cleaners, it's a long, quadruple word score-kind of word, it's acronym is PEA. Due to chemical reactions, they have to disclose how much PEA content is in any given product on an MSDS sheet. Despite how much people love Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant fuel injector cleaner, it has the lowest concentration of PEA <5% by volume according to Lucas' own admission. Seafoam has no PEA (IIRC) just petroleum distillates and lighter fluid. Gumout Regane and Redline SI Fuel Injector Cleaner both have the highest concentration of PEA ~40% by volume.

Automatic transmission fluid in the gas tank to clean fuel injectors??!! WTF!!??

All my previous vehicles were carbed, and the Ranger well, she runs like a top. I never heard of using ATF to clean fuel injectors before.

This is why you put it in the gas tank read the can. Have you ever used the product?

You put ATF in the tank for DIESEL trucks. Not gas. No. Bad idea. Dont listen to your friends.

Dirty injectors , What a load of horsesh!t.
The only time one would have a 'dirty' injector is if the vehicle has sat for a long time and the fuel has gummed up. Meaning at least a YEAR or more.
I've heard this crap for sooo long it's making me sick.
If you put fresh fuel in your truck at least once a week , don't worry about dirty injectors .
It's a marketing ploy playing on your fears to get you to but the latest "Stuff Thats Best For Your Engine!"

"OH , I poured this in my tank and gained 2 MPG"
BULL !

Well where just exactly do you think the pickup for the fuel pump resides ?
Where does the gas come from first , the top of the tank ?

Think a little .

Seafoam is good at what it does, but ATF is also a good cleaning agent. 3-4oz. per gallon of gas mixture. Google "ATF in gas tank" or something similar and look at all the results.

seafoam works very well i used to work at a dealler and used to fix missfire a number of time it dose work recommed going both ways in the gas tank and threw a vac line it cleans the outside and the inside of the injectors. ive seen it in action take an engine appart with out running seafoam and then another engine with it u can see the diff inside the engine. the injector and valves are totaly clean but would say be carefull if u have a lot of miles on your truck u may open a can of werms and find out u need a valve job now
