Heater Core Removal Difficulties

Hey everyone, so last night I started all the steps of replacing my heater core. I have a 2001 Ranger Edge 3.0 w/ac and so far I have it all ready for the heater core to come out, or so I thought. I've got the dash removed and pulled back and all of the bolts removed from the engine side of the firewall for the HVAC system. The HVAC unit moves freely now and so does the heater core and surrounding unit inside the cab. Only one problem, the heater core system only moves so far. I've repeatedly searched cab side and engine side of the fire wall to see if there are any more hidden studs or nuts and I can't find any. I have removed the one behind the engine block and the hidden bold behind the HVAC system and all the surrounding nuts and studs. Has anyone else had any trouble like this or any insight? Thanks ahead of time.

Stupid question here but did you remove the heater hoses?

Did you remove the one bolt on the inside? It's near the fuel reset button?
