Help, 3.0 Ticking

Im at about 20k miles and since around 15k I'v been hearing ticking noises come from my engine. I think my valves need adjusting but I'm not totally sure. Any suggestions? Thanks

my 3.0L does it to, its usually at about 45-55 mph... sounds like aluminum rattling???

mine does the same thing, we have about 2 threads a month about it so it seems.

It's called piston slap I think... I have it, and I know every other 3.0 that I've seen and heard has it too. It sucks, but we must deal with it.

You can make it quieter with soudn deadening. Make sure all your rubber gromets on your firewall are pushed in all the way.

I don't have it and I'm at 65k

Haha sweet. Alright so I'll give seafoam a shot and see what happens. I was talking to my friend about and hes says at about 15k the 3.0s the lifters need adjusting since their not hydraulic.

Mine seems to do it depending on the grade of gas I buy. 89 makes it go away. But I notice the special blend summer gas we have to buy here after april in bham, does it in all grades.
