Catalatic converter swap

Ok so ive looked online and one way to incease power is a high flow catalatic converter and cat back exhaust. Is this true and could swap cats with another ford model.

If you have a Cat or a muffler blocking exhaust flow now then yes, new Cat or muffler will bring back power that was lost.

But no with "high flow" if your current system is OK now.

No auto maker tries to get less power from an engine, and restricting exhaust flow would reduce power, it has nothing to do with emissions, in fact emissions would get worse with limited flow.

But no reason not to get a new exhaust, people often like the sound change it brings, and if it sounds better then it goes faster that's the rules, regardless of the facts
