IAT Mod,
Soo, saw the how to thread, but the MAF is different that year, im trying this on my ranger and see my MAF and some random little tube entering my intake, i just cut any wire on my MAF and just install the resistor?
i wouldnt mess with it personally. messing with the iat can mess with your fuel ratios and can lead to bad mpg's and as far as killing your engine.
Thought this mod really works? i just put a full tank of 89 to see if i can make it work as this truck has no lowend torque.
its a 3.0, dont expect much... its called a 3.slow for a reason.
that mod does work, but it can/does do long term things to your engine. |
I'm willing to except the losses of the engine dieing later (gives me a reason for a new one)
But i'd really appreciate if you could tell me what wire i need to use it on. |
anyone???
GAH, call me impatient lol, just want to figure out which wire it is so i can not give the 89 octane a waste.
Okay can someone just tell me where the IAT is lol.
It's in the maf sensor. Honestly tho, don't waste your time on it man. Btw stick to 87 octane, u will get the same power out of it, and probly better mpg's too. I went from 92 to 87 and get noticeably better milage
From what i've seen or notice the 95 ranger doesn't have it in the MAF ??? i'm so lost, ( between you and me if the engine goes kaboom that means a 4.0 gets installed)
if it doesn't go kaboom you can offset the cost of a new engine by selling the old one, just sayin...
prefer it to go boom looks better for me when i go to a shop :3 but can't make it go boom if no one tells me where to stick the dynamite....
it'll make no noticable difference...
Well, no point in trying my truck is knocking really badly :((
