Identify This Part

2002 Ford Ranger Edge
3.0L V6 2WD Hey guys. Today I replaced the front shocks and sway bar end links on the truck. Afterward, I realized that these following parts were old and brittle. One of them actually fell apart. But I can't for the life of me figure out what they're called, so I was hoping someone could educate me on the name. They're bolted to the frame of the truck, and the rubber rests on the bottom arm. Any help would be appreciated. Top is metal, bottom is rubber. Bolt goes through a hole in the rubber to mount the metal to the frame. https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1338162065 In place on the truck (middle of the pic). https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1338162065 Again, in it's place on the truck (middle of the pic). https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1338162065 |
Bump stop
|
Thanks man. That's exactly what it is. Any ideas where I can find a pair?
Autozone shows a bunch of universal ones, but they all use a nut to hold it in place. Mine, the bolt threads right into the frame, no nut needed. I wouldn't mind using a universal one, but I have no room to drill out the hold larger (unless I just use a die grinder I suppose). Advance Auto only shows one universal bump stop. NAPA is useless. Rock Auto, I can't find it listed. I'll give the dealer a call this week but I'd hate to image how much they'd charge for a pair. |
I wonder if LMC Truck has them. Maybe a dealer item or just use a universal one.
