I'll be honest on my part, I doubt it just because of the Engine size, and if I'm wrong stop me but to my awareness you are talking about taking it out of a 4.0L Ranger and putting it into a Flex am I correct?

he means pulling the injectors from a 4.0L OHV engine from 1999 and installing them in his 1999 Ford ranger with the 3.0L Flex Fuel engine in a ranger.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I doubt that it will work the same way for two reasons. The engine that you want to put it in is smaller and it is a different engine then the one you are taking the fuel injectors out of.
And then there is the posibility that the 4.0L OHV engine has come from a different truck, am I correct?

i wanna take the injectors out of the 4.0 and throw them in the 3.0flex he said that the 4.0 injectors would give it enough flow and be just like flex but im never planning on using flex again i hate it so just reg gas would go in.

wouldn't you be able to just see if the part numbers are the same for each injector? To me, that seems like it would be the easiest way to find out...haha

I looked at a 92 dodge dakota today and noticed the injectors on it are exactly the same as those on my 85 2.3 ranger
