jet performance chip question

jet performance chip question

i searched through some old threads and couldnt find the answer to my question... i found this chip on ebay for sale same year and motor as my truck but the truck this came off of is a manual and i am an automatic. will this still work for my truck or not?

well. i got this same thing for my 01..... really.. i havn't noticed anything from it... not at all... so i wouldn't bother... for real. unless it free. i take it back. i notice a little power at high rpms

i would ditch it. i ran the chip in my truck for about a year and all it really did was stretch out the RPMS before shifting gears (automatic tranny). i mailed it to a member in orlando who has the same year/engine size/ transmission and it fried his computer.

to answer your question- no the chip will not match up unless you have the same year, engine size, and transmission.

as for advice- look into the x cal tuner. everyone here who uses it will recommend it.

Okay thanks no chip then and I have thought about the xcal just don't know if I want to fork out the money for one
