3.0 What muffler are you running

Im thinking of doing an upgrade on my muffler, something mild nothing aggressive or loud, Just something to maybe open it up a bit.

I have access to magnaflow and flowmaster

I don't think it is. I know flowmaster makes a 10 series. Its basically a "legal" strait pipe.

im runing a borla with 2.5 out the back, its got a lower tone, sounds good at idle and when you get on it, but when you get to coasting speeds it drops back down where you can't really hear it which is good on long highway trips, i can say for me it offerd the best of both worlds my wife is happy with it. though if you want loud i'd go with a flowmaster 40 dumped with a 3inch single tip that was my last setup on my 91 3.0ranger people thought i had a v8.

I have a Flowmaster 40 series, SI/DO dumped before the rear axle and it's wicked loud. It gets a bit drone-y in the cab, I like it though.

yeah 40s are more aimed for muscle cars, I think magnaflow will be my best bet, I dont want loud. i also want to retain some low end torque

I would have to say magnaflow straight pipes only because thats what my brother has and it sounds great. Not too loud but very mean sounding!! Leave the cats though cuase otherwise it will get raspy.

aren't you going to lose horsepower if you get pipes that big?
