Mass Air Flow Sensor
i need a new Mass Air Flow Sensor mine is shot tried cleaning it and no go. Where should i go to get a new one for a half way decient price. Thanks

I'm pretty sure they changed from 99 to 2002, but if they're the same I have one laying around.

Thats one of the older sensors in the metal tube thing right? Not the plastic one? I have a plastic one if you have the plastic tube.

its the metal one. I need one asap the shop wants 225 installed but the part is only 149 i just need the part .

if you've got a set of security torx bits, you can do the install yourself.

I went with the Motorcraft b/c it was only a few bucks more (fyi I have the 4.0)

Or,, you could use a Dremal with a cut off wheel and make a slot in the head of that torx screw.

Then all you need is a flat head screwdriver from then on out.

Just go to Autozone, I got mine for about $125.

I picked one up from the junkyard yesterday and put it on. It works great. It was $65 so not bad.
