Crank pulley. Best bang for the buck.
http://www.stuffforyourranger.com/st...cec5d654721e38

Installing the pulley is a piece of cake.
https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=45554

The intake is a free one and sounds great. The factory set up is a cold air.

Now you have over $200 for an exhaust. See that was easy.

exhaust can be expensive depending on what you get, who installs it, and who you know... i got my magnaflow SI/DO for about 250 installed but i didnt get ne fancy tips, and i knew a guy who hooked me up but my point is magnaflows sound really good, and im sure you could find a flowmaster 40 for sumwhere in the 200-300 range but i could be wrong

Midas had a Magna Flow they installed and the guy didn't like it. They installed it on my truck for $150. Welded in place with a 3" tip. The muffler was new but they couldn't sell it as new. It was the pricey 18" muffler. All you have to do is ask.

See there are muffler options. You should be able to set your truck up pretty good for $300.

buy a under drive crank pulley, get a 2.5" SI/SO flowmaster 40 series. Have an exhaust shop make you a 2.5" pipe that kicks down just a little bit to clear the transmission cross memeber and get a turn down tip. Don't forget a hanger for the exhaust. There is a little less than $300 gone and you have an exhaust and a pulley.

hey man i have the same exact truck color and wheels i got bought a borla from rangerNVS for100 bucks and had it installed for 40 and it works great i might go with a K&n drop in its close to 50bucks at auto zone, unless i can get a mas that can unbolt from the airbox for an older model 3.0 i can buy an adapter and bolt a cone filter right to the stock intake.

I am still tossing up ideas of what to do, I dont know if i should put the money into the pulley combo or just save the money for a set of dual exhaust.

Question: why do some of you guys get just single pipe exhaust systems when the stock exhaust is single?? Dont you get a whole lot more with duals??

Good idea!!! His increase in performance from the performance mods mentioned will be about the same!

Seriously, I don't want to see you throw your $300 away. To get substantial performance gains out of a 3.0L is going to cost big $$$

The pulley is money well spent and easy to install. Next to my tuner the pulley made the most difference. Intake helps too but after the pulley.
Talk to the guys with the mods not the ones without.

You could also do some free mods like the TC (throttle cable) mod, and a air box mod. You aren't going to be tossed back in your seat or anything but hey its free, just takes a little bit of your time like 1hr at the most. But you could get underdrive pulleys for cheap, thats a start

With the money I'd get the pulley set from Underdog and you'll be pretty well off. As far as exhaust if I ever get up to Holland to give you the bezels I've got a dynomax cat back kit on my 3.0 that you can hear.

Yea that will work, from what I have read I should just go with the pulleys and ill prolly just do that. Exhaust isnt really needed right now. If you do get plans to get up this way just call my cell, no big hurry.
