note: he said something about a sensor in the intake? i dont know the system too well so if someone could break it down. i know it monitors the air and adjusts fuel flow, but i dunno if i should worry or not.

MAF

mass air flow sensor.

you can pick up some cleaner from napa or whatever, nothing really to freeze on it or anything tho.

like i said in the other thread, check the code and post it. if its an o2 thread, guess what its gonna be an o2 sensor thats wrong, sometimes its just the connection for it, but depending how many miles are on them it might be better to replace.

its ice buildup that isnt makin it an accurate reading. on the sensor itself. which one is that on a 3.0< the one closest to the intake filter?

and even though it threw an o2 code, there are many other causes behind throwing an o2 code that an obd2 has no monitor over.

Like vonhanson said, it could just be a connector, but why not replace the whole thing, not too much more expensive. Yes, even though it throws and o2 code, that could be a lot of different things, usually it's just an o2 sensor, but you might want to check the converter, but really it sounds like the guy was talking about a MAF, that's pretty much the only sensor in the intake that would throw that codes

Was it an O2 code or a lean code? MAF has nothing to do with it if it's an O2 code, but is high on the list if you have a lean code on both banks.

As for O2 codes, you'll usually see circuit codes, or no/slow switching codes. 99% of the time it is a bad O2 sensor.
