It's starting to get on my nerves, the ticking. So I tore it apart just a couple of weeks ago (about a year after I put the rocker arms in) and I didn't have any pre-load specs or anything to go by, so my neighbor (UPS mechanic) told me thread the nut down just to the point where you can't move the pushrod up or down but can still spin it freely. I got that, and then he says turn the adjuster nut 1/2 a turn then lock it down. The thing is, I don't know if a half a turn is the right pre-load, cause it's ticking worse than ever after that. Someone help me out, I've searched and searched here and through the RoguePerformance, StuffForYourRanger, and even MoranaV6Racing, and I can't find a thing.

Eh, see I don't want to trust that, I've found a lot of things that are wrong in the Haynes manual. Plus the stock arms are 1.5, so the 1.7 arms have a different ratio, I'm not sure if it'd be right.

I called Wayne and he got back to be pretty quick, turns out I hadn't been adjusting them tight enough so I re-did all my rockers, but I still have a very noticeable tick under load, so I'm going to take it up to the shop and let them look it over.
