Still trying to figure out smoking issue...
Hey guys,
So I've been talking with FDDRIVER and trying to figure out why my truck smokes on start-up for a few seconds everytime it's been sitting for a few hours or overnight. It runs fine and no sounds or funny noises yet. No lights on or anything. I've changed the IAC, MAF, cleaned everything out, new spark plugs, oil change. This engine was just put in.
Can one of you help me out? Zach? Bob? Anybody? Truck runs and idles run it just smokes blueish/white smoke out of exhaust when I first start it up for about 10 seconds.

All our Reconditioned Engines
come with a Standard 6 month warranty,
and a core exchange is required unless
otherwise stated.
Reconditioned Engine is a used engine
with less then 65,000 miles
on it that we have taken the liberty
of replacing all gaskets and oil seals,
and on some engines even the water pump
with new parts. "Please ask if your engine
will or will not come with new water pump"
*Please note*
That all Recondition Engines
will not come with valve cover
nor oil pan.

I'd say when your last engine took a dive, nobody check a full once over/check on the heads before bolting them on the new engine. When that last engine took a dive, it took the seals out with it i'd say. Slight dribble of oil into one of your cylinders for a few hours = blueish/greyish smoke at first start up. Because its at first start up and after a few hours sitting, eliminates the piston rings

could it jus be moisture in the air?
i know in florida, especially when it gets cold at night, the change in temperature causes the moisture in the air to drop to the ground settling in the exhaust pipes. when you turn the engine on it heats up the water and causes wat appeirs to be smoke but it is evaporated water.
