Morana Cam, need advice.

So, I'm sure some of you have seen the vid of the Sonic blue Ranger with the Orange upper-intake manifold. It's a 3.0 V6 and he told a member of this forum that it was the morana cam. Now, I was wondering if I would have to upgrade any part of the stock 3.0 to run this cam (rocker-rollers, upper/lower intake manifold, new springs, or anything else that has slipped my mind). Here's the spec's to the cam

Got the vid here. Ford Ranger 3.0 V6 with cam

So that thread popped up again that for some reason I couldn't find and it's not the same cam.

Anyone out there who could tell me if this Tom Morana cam is as wild as that cam in the vid?
Anyone out there who could tell me if I could run this cam with no other modifications?

hey there oh5edge that guy you are talking about goes by rangeredge02 and he is all over RPS(ranger power sports) I have sent him several PM's and he is really cool and he knows his sh** about these motors let me tell ya. I know that he has a custom regring cam and its huge, but I wouldnt go any bigger than a .500 lift, and it would be a good idea to go with new valve springs and you should try to keep your duration around 210-215. Just something a little bigger than stock is all you really need. Don't get a huge cam just for that sound get one that is going to go with ur set up and unless you have heads, P&P upper and lower intakes, injectors, bigger maf,TB,and maybe upgraded pistons or any other kind of internal motor work U don't need a big cam

Is he from Houston? If so he used to have a cam with a whipple supercharger. It was sweet. He has since sold the supercharger.

There is NO WAY that will work without a custom tune and some MAJOR tweaking. Cams and bone stock PCM's don't work well together. EEC-V's like a lot of vacuum at idle, big cams don't make much - you do the math.

Near stock duration with increased lift. Works good, lasts long time. Change the distributor/CPS Synchro, timing chang, gears, lifters... see where this is going? $$$
