Welcome to the forum

If you have fuel and spark then it will start...........................so you don't have both

Do 50/50 test, only way to confirm fuel and spark on any gasoline engine
Spray fuel into the engine: ether(quick start), gasoline, carb cleaner, ect................
Try to start engine
If it starts, runs and dies you have good spark and spark timing, but no fuel delivery into the engine
If it doesn't start then no spark, or its either weak or out of time
50/50 no guessing

Spark testers are unreliable
Fuel pressure means fuel is ON the engine, not IN the engine
50/50 test is 100% accurate and been used since the late 1800's and the first gasoline engines, so "time tested", lol

Watch the CEL(check engine light) it should come ON with key on, that means computer has booted up OK
When trying to start, CEL should go OFF as engine spins, that means computer is getting good Timing Pulse from Crank Sensor

2000 Ranger V6 has PATS(passive anti-theft system) so there will be a THEFT light on the dash, it should flash every 5 to 10 seconds with key off
With key on, it should come on and then go off, if it Flashes rapidly that means fuel system has been deactivated, because key in ignition didn't "pass the test"
This usually disables starter motor as well but not always
