Strange issues with ranger, pulled codes, not sure where to go next.
Here are the codes: P0231, P1000, P0133, P1131 and P0171. My truck has 198k miles on it. Should I start by changing the O2 sensor? And I have no idea about the P0231 code... any advice? Symptoms include rough idle and truck doesn't stall out but when driving and clutch depressed coming to a stop, the AC compressor cycles rapidly and the truck sounds like its going to stall. Truck is a 2000 xl 2wd 5 speed Thanks.

ok replace the o2 and by pass the inertia switch with a jumper wire ,clear codes , report back
you should clear the last 3 codes with the o2 replacement
the p1000 is fords way of saying you have a problem we think but we are not sure what ! rotf
on the p0231 if the bypass works replace inertia switch, if no change replace fuel pump relay
