odometer question

94 ranger reg cab 4x4 3.0l 5 speed

the speedometer works fine but the odometer does not. is there a separate cable or do you think its an internal problem in the gauge cluster ?

No separate cable.
Yes, problem is in the cluster, '94 is a mechanical speedo and odometer, so speedometer cable runs into the back of the cluster and then drives the speedo and odo.

Cable is good since speedometer works

1994 is Second Generation(1993-1997) and just '93 and '94 have mechanical speedometer cable, '95 switched to electronic.

So for '95 you would want '95 to '97 cluster

If you have a tachometer then try to find a V6 Cluster, 3.0l or 4.0l, but I think they can be changed(4 or 6) via a jumper on the back, just not sure.
