PCV VALVE ELBOW

HELLO! New ranger owner and new to this forum as well its great to be here and I hope to learn a thing or two. so I picked up a 2002 ranger xlt 3.0 a couple of months ago it had 140k miles on it but no leaks, no codes, interior is good, engine and tranny run smooth I paid 2,300 for it (you tell me if it was a good deal) it was love at first sight. so I went ahead and changed spark plug wires just because I could tell they were getting a little brittle, changed fluids, plugs were in great shape, and decided to change the pcv valve. well theres my current problem, the elbow that connects to the back of the valve is collapsed, I know the assemblies are readily available but a friend of mine said the Taurus 2002 3.0 is the same engine (which I know to be true) so would an elbow for that vehicle fit ?

Not sure. I'd just get the proper part from rockauto. Discount from RF if I'm not mistaken..
