Should I Put A Exhause On?

Okay, I have a 1994 Ford Ranger completly stock right now. Im currently looking for some bigger nicer tires but am having a hard time finding some since im stuck with the 14 inch rim. But I wanted to put a performance exhause on to make it sound deeper and also give me some HP. Do you think I should? Also any reccomendations.

first off what engine, 2wd or 4wd, and exhaust wont do hardly anything for power. maybe a couple if your lucky. the only time i can see an exhaust help in the power department is if you do a full exhaust upgrade w/ headers, hiflow cats, good muffler, etc. and it might help pretty good on an older vehicle to regain lost power from clogged cats and such.

Exhaust is a waste of money IMO. Worst $150 I have spent on my truck

Go up to a Mom and Pop muffler shop and have them cut out ur muffler and put a rip off of a magna flow in its place. I did it and it sounds great. I got a 4.0 though.

Not worth it I think, because I personally don't want to be showing off my V6.

Try LMC Truck. They have performance mods and such for all years.

I just finished installing a Dynomax cat-back exhaust kit
on mine, and it did make a noticeable difference. I could
tell it on the first test drive. The truck will hold OD longer
on the same hills as before, at the same speed and throttle
opening, which tells me there's more torque available.

Will it magically turn it into a V-8? Well no, not even close,
but it does open up some more power and I'm hoping a bit
more MPG. The nice rumble at idle is a bonus.

The Dynomax is one of the cheaper cat-backs available,
but is still a high quality kit, with thick wall tubing and good
fit.

Loud and V6 = Fail. Even built machines that have a vaild reason for having a free flow exhaust system sounds painful to me unless they are a V8. I had cheap Turbo mufflers on my 01 and 04 ranger with dual exhaust after the mufflers. It sounded OK, but I wouldn't do it again.

dont expect any gains just a different sound... dont go any bigger than 2.75in exhaust any bigger and you will lose back pressure and lose your bottom end. I say do what you want as long as you like it more props to you... its your truck and you can do with it as you please its not our truck.
