Replacing AC clutch?

I have a 3.0 V6 and it has 208k miles on it. Most people probably wouldn't care about it unless it's broken but I do preventative maintenance on my truck since I use it for interstate travel. I'm considering replacing my AC clutch just because of the high mileage on it. I've already replaced all of my pulleys and my belt. How much of a pain is replacing the clutch? I'd like to hear from someone who has done this change. Thanks!

I can't say i've replaced the clutch. But i've done plenty of compressors. It might be easier. However you'd have to get your system recharged if you do that.

I'm always worried about cracking the system. It can create small leaks, etc. I'd rather just change out the moving part that doesn't have oil in it. :) I know when I did it on my Toyota Supra, it was just a compressed ring that had to be removed with a crimp tool and I was in business. I hope it's the same thing with the Ranger!

No one? I'm kinda surprised. Maybe they just don't go bad. :)
