transmission concern
i posted about this in the drivetrain section but it kinda died off when i asked this question.
the sound a transmission makes when you miss a gear and go into the next gear over, the lugging kind of grinding or rattle you hear in the manual transmission, not the ticking or rattle from a spark knock or detination, but it comes from the tranny even when the vehicle is running smooth just at a low rpm. well i just put 33x12.50x15 tires on my 3.0 ranger with the manual 5-speed w/overdrive. well besides the fact i need to regear it due to the 3.73 being nowhere near where i should be for 33's, the tranny lugging at 1500 rpms, however is kinda puzzling me. its very light and not noticeable with the windows down, but in a quiet truck, i can hear it. should i be worried? is this a problem? i wanna regear it when i get back from my tour overseas in which i leave for in 4 months. so ill be driving around with my 3.73's til then.
someone help me with some advice.
