Screamin Demon Coil?
well im still having this misfire after checking everything else I have come to the conclusion that it may very well be a intermittent coil.. I just got the coil in december so that was pretty much my last thing I wanted to check but I don't know what else it could be...
whats the best way to go about checking if this coil is bad? what's the specs on this coil? any more info would be great on how to check the screamin demon coil. :) thanks all.

So far im not a big fan of the SD coil... I really didnt notice much in performance or fuel milage gains. I guess if i were to run a boosted application this coil would be beneficial to my needs but to a stock motor, this is not needed in my opinion. Stock coils will be plentiful for the stock motor. SD coils are a bit over kill on stock motors BUT there is always room for upgrade so if you have plans for the motor then i suggest it but otherwise im not happy with it. Not happy because it didnt work properly and made my motor misfire and made my truck throw a couple codes. I have changed the coil out with OEM and now im in the process of seeing if this fixed my problem, SO FAR SO GOOD! Ill keep you posted.

So one bad one off of the line and the whole company sucks? There are plenty of people on here with the SD pack and have had no problems with it. Where you there when they built it? How do you know they don't test it? You have proof?

Ok but how does he know? Was he there while it was being made? Id say one bad pack out of x number of people that use it is pretty damn good.

electronic components. GM, Chrysler, and Ford all require their electronic
component suppliers to go through these tests, this is why they are
SAE standards.
Something you don't know anything about, or would understand!!!

The proof is Performance Distributors (maker of Screamin Demon), or MSD have the equipment to do the recommended SAE reliability testing for
electronic components. GM, Chrysler, and Ford all require their electronic
component suppliers to go through these tests, this is why they are
SAE standards.

And why wouldn't i know or understand? I'm not the one to judge products with no proof or experience with them.
You fail to see the facts. Many people have the SD pack with no problems. One is bad off of the line but all well.

Good for you. You want a cookie or something now?
Still one bad pack out of X amount of Ranger users is not bad. I'd still buy one if I was trying to squeeze every ounce of performance out of my truck.
What are you doing at Sema if you hate aftermarket parts so much?
