Quick EGR question

I'm trying to trouble shoot a lean bank 1 and 2 issue and am looking at the EGR valve. My question is this when you apply vacuum to the valve, is it soupost to maintain that vacuum, or is it soupost to bleed off right away?

Thank you,
Richard

The EGR port should definitely hold vacuum, at least for a while.
If it dosen't, that might be the source of the lean codes.

As a test, you can block off the EGR vacuum line, clear the codes,
and see if they return.
