So I just got an 1986 ford ranger

I just got this ford and haven't really been a ford guy so I was wondering how
Good the little v6 motors are I believe its the 2.3

2.3 is a 4 banger that year has a 2.9 i think

and anyway a lot of people call the 3.0 v6 3.slow but i have 216k miles on mine and it still runs like a boss

Yes its a 2.9L V6. Everyone I have seen last a long time. Lots of miles.

Cool it's only got 150000 k and I got it for almost nothing thanks for
The input I just have to put the tranney back in it

Well it's in but missing s couPle bolts and the moron that I got it from
Cut the hydraulic line for the clutch

I have a 97 2.3 and it has 275,000 miles on it. I'm the second owner and I've had it since 2018. I've replaced the coil packs, plug wires, starter, PCV valve, fuel filter, O2 sensors, heater control valve and clutch. This little truck runs great.
