Squeal hunting

Squeal hunting
What can I do to fix a harmonic balancer squeal aside from a tough replacement I suppose... I can hit it with some WD40, but thats only temporary. I have another squeal in addition to it but only at curtain rpm/loads conditions which I'm sure is an idler or tension pulley, but thats not as important at the moment.

Once you have a squeal from a fan belt it means the pulley will be glazed so changing belt or spraying with something will be only a temporary fix.
Get some Emory cloth or similar sand paper and rough up the pulley surface, remove the glazing.
Belt and pulley's work on friction, so pulleys needs to have a grip-able surface.
Rough up all the accessory pulleys.
Alternator pulley can squeal when you add electrical load, test that.
Yes, idler and tensioner pulley bearings can start squealing, spray the bearings with lube, if that helps then budget to replace them.

So i tracked my squealing down to the A/C compressor (not necessarily the clutch) AND the inside of my harmonic balancer, this is all after removing and cleaning my belt. No noises from the balancer with the belt off, but i hit the inside of the balancer w/ WD40 and instant silence...
Also, off topic but i also managed to find my tapping issue... which i was able to patch with some rubber tubing + electrical tape. =D

I will have to work on that one, but my A/C is actually the worst one right now.
I am wondering do I really need a new A/C compressor?
How do I know if it is just the clutch?
Can I just replace the bearing?
Seems like it all sucks really...
