Supercharger?

My friend has a 92 Ranger 3.0 V6 he wants to know do they make a supercharger for a 92? I know they make one for a 04.

+ my sister has a 92 Tempo GLS 3.0 V6 the same V6 in the ranger and she also wants to know if they make a supercharger for a 92 ranger and how hard would it be to put it on the tempo.

I know the 92 Tempo GLS 3.0 V6 is not going to be ez but. If they make a supercharger kit for a 92 Ranger 3.0 V6 I would not have to custom fab the supercharger.

They don't make one for the 92, Ranger or Tempo.

98 and 92 rangers are the same...err close enough. Pretty much EASILY the cheapest way is an engine swap man. Get a ford mustang 302.

Where the heck is MD? It aint montana, minnesota, or michigan. Middakota? MorthIdaho? Maryland? Bah, lower 48..

Actually the only s/c i know of for the 3.0L is whipple, and it'll only adapt out-of-the-box for an '02+. But you can make it work for a '98-01, there are just quite few more steps (do a search, there are some threads on it..)

correct.. i think the pre-02 upper intakes had a different bolt pattern, also that's when they changed over to the newer composite intake manifolds. Yeah EGR is an issue as well, i believe they totally chunked EGR in 2002 as it isnt compatible to the s/c system. And the cruise control and throttle linkages have to be lengthened i believe. I'm missing a lot but those are some of the 'biggies'..

Geee...
I've got a '94 and it's been supercharged twice.
Once with a kit from a total fricken' hack (TKT) that made 5lbs boost and once with a Whipple making over 10lbs.
Worked great for me, VERY few mods needed, drill the intake holes to 8mm, grind a little here, swap the injectors and get a custom Chip. Done.

BTW the Whipple works on ANY RWD platform but not the FWD's. Just requires some imagination and brass nards

Boss3.0 on RPS did it twice.

Judging from "Fredness's" post, that is Boss.
