Symptoms of a bad valve cover gasket?

I recently replaced my valve stem seals on my 94 b3000 3.0l V6. Now it's backfiring, loss of power, and only really shows when you try to accelerate. Could it be a bad gasket causing a vaccume leak?

Did you torque the rockers down to spec. I just did tight on mine and it backfired. My 3.0 was 12 then 25.

12 then 25? Got me a torque wrench so I'm anxious to get under the hood and repair this if possible!

Do a compression test, it should be at around 160psi.
Check and make sure that you have the push rods seated properly, it's very easy to get them misaligned.
