is there anyway..??
hey guys, i took a look under my truck the other day,(99 ranger 3.0) and was looking around my exhaust system. is there anyways i can cheaply modify my exhaust system, maybe just from the muffler back, anyone have any clever ideas how to gain a couple horsepower, and get a better sound out of this motor?

get a flowmaster 40 series
and an intake |
^what he said... a flowmaster 40 series will give you better sound and the intake will give you a few more hp... do a search for a programmer and bama chips

this is the set up i've got. its a force automotive muffler from summit for 32.50!!!! sounds like every flowmaster 40 i've ever owned. under $100 for parts and install.

is that muffler welded to the converter ?
the spring bolt flange is there for a reason you know. |
yeah its welded to the converter. i didn't do the work. i had a shop do it. i've never had an aftermarket exhaust with spring bolts anyway so i'm not to worried about it. the stock rubber hangers hold it in place well and give it some slack to move around a bit.
