i resently replaced the head gaskets, and while doing so my friend pushed one of the cylinder heads down, now it won't start because the timing is off, does anyone know how to retime it??

Search for TDC - Top dead center position. If you look of the large main pulley you'll see teeth and numbers. You'll have to align everything in order to get it in sync.

Did you ever get it going? The markings arent on the pulley, theyre on the balancer behind the pulley. Check right infront of the crankshaft. I dont think your timing is off though. By, "pushing one of the cylinder heads down" do you mean your buddy turned the engine over, moving the pistons around? That wont mess your timing up. If you never removed the cam and/ or chain, it should still be fine.
