Timing chain noise?

Whatsup guys i have a 01 3.0 with 100k or so miles and i just noticed today that under slightly hard acceleration i will hear a radling noice coming from the motor. Not at idle or on highway that iv noticed, more like 2nd gear acceleration. Any ideas?

Not timing chain on 3.0l, they were bullet proof, they don't even use a tensioner.

Most likely a heat shield rattle

Manual or automatic trans?

Could be pre-detonation, AKA pinging/knocking

Put a 1/2 tank of Premium gasoline, 93 octane, in, see if "rattle" goes away after a bit, if so then yes, pinging was what it was/is
