turning off check engine light
 

is there any ways to turn off check engine light? mine is on cause my engine is running too rich and none been able to tell me how to fix it so i just want to turn the light off
any way to do that?

nope there is not way to turn the light of other then fixing the problem. in less you take the bulb out

unplug the battery for 15 mins will clear it, but once it notices the problem again it will come back on

the light being on is not the cause of the engine running rich.

what code does it have?
you cant just turn it off, you can un-hook the battery for a few seconds and that will temp keep it out untill the PCM see the fault again.

the light is on because you have a problem.

if its a o2 sensor code IE engine has reached its rich limit, then it sounds like you have a vacuum leak

well here are the codes that advance auto gave me P0172 and P0175

ya either that or both ur o2 sensors are bad...which its prolly just a vaccum leak.....advance can shut the light off.....i know i work there but ya it'll come back on if u dont fix it.....
