well asuming you have the rear ABS the abs modual on our older trucks that sits on the frame likes to take a crap and go bad i will almost bet the cylinder inside is screwing up. its heppened to mine and also my buddy's 91. but my buddy's 91 had the worst and because of it his brakes went out and hit a tree...that sucked

I would have to agree I had an 89 that had the same problem.

redneckff7 09-19-2005 06:28 PM

don't know i didn't fix mine. i just stuck a AutoMeter Sticker over the ABS light.

Nate97Ranger 09-19-2005 06:49 PM

lolol, its not always on it just flashed when I smack the gas n stuff...I dont wanna go flying into a tree or even worse wrecking into somebody :(

Redneckstone 09-19-2005 06:50 PM

the modual can be from $70-$150 for the modual

most of the time this is caused from dirty rear end oil, the chips from gear wear stick to the speed sensor over time.

its VERY easy to pull ABS codes from your truck.
