what can the 3.0 handle

can the 3.0 handle...35s?? without having to beef up the engine or transmission?

p.s.-i would plan on doing the minor mods such as pullies, e-fan and intake....possibly roller rockers too

yeah an 8.8 with 4.56's would pretty much be a must, but my main concern is having to beef up the engine or transmission

4.88's would be better than pullies and all the other stuff combined.

If you gear it right, you can run 54" boggers.

Look at all those yota 4 cyls that are turning 49's.

For a 3.0, I suggest 4.88's for 35's. Gear it and you'll be fine. I've got 4.88's on my 4.0 with 35's and sometimes i feel like i want a deeper gear.

uuummmmm no. If you RE-GEAR, the trans is not an issue, because you are not putting any more stress on turning the tires.

3.0 and 4.56, I have 4.88's and it is WAY too much gear, revvs way too high. I'm just going off experience, from what I read the 4.0 and 3.0 final gear ratio and transmission gears are a bit different...hence why some people liike the 4.88's in 4.0's...I hate mine, I'd trade for 4.56 any way
