Bit by the mod bug again

I can't seem to leave anything alone. With that being said, i'm going to mod my Ranger a bit. I'm going to start with some pullies. My question, is it worth the extra $ for the complete pulley set or just stick with the Crank pulley?

Thanks everyone :)
Bob

Get the crank and alternator pulley. The alternator pulley will spin the alternator back up to speed so you don't have a low votlage problem at idle. The idler pulley is just for show.

I'm going to put my crank pulley on soon, I can report back with how much it brings the volts down at idle.

I did the crank and alt pulley with a new Goodyear belt.IMO the water pump pulley is not worth the time.It basically is for looks. For $35 I would go ahead and get the Alt pulley.
It was about $130 for everything.

yeah that water pump pulley is a pain the ***... but when you hold them in your hands you can a feel the difference between the two. You have to remove the fan, fan shroud to get to it, but if you do this it makes it so much easier to get to the bolts on the crank pulley.

i have the crank and alternator pulleys. dont need the alt unless you're running decent loads. I can throw 60a on my system with my e-fan and aux lights on. So i need the bigger alt pulley..
