a few problems.....
I have a 2002 ford ranger edge 3.0 non flex fuel, and I have a few problems....First my electric door lock don't work as well as they use to.They work with the keyless remote, but barely sometimes I have to hit it a few times, it seems like the motor for the locks is weak, when inside the truck using the switches it will lock but will not unlock. The mirrors don't work at all anymore, it used to work a little but gradually got worse, some one told to me to use wd-40 but it didn't work I'm thinking it could be the switch, BTW i've checked all fuses. Also My brakes seem like they are pulsating when I stop. Sometimes it feels like I have oval wheels, it will also pull to the right only when braking. And I hear kind of a ticking sound in the engine...Loose rocker, or burt valve? when accelerating it sounds more like a jingling of change, but very faint, but its only when accelerating, also sometimes iwhen idleing it will shake a little, but not much or very often....just wondering what it all could be.

It's a sad shame that nobody answered this thread. Oddly enough my 2000 does the same damn things! My mirrors still sort of work though, but my locks rarely unlock and lock without the use of the key, when I first got it the key wouldn't unlock the driver's side! The back doors wouldn't stay shut, but with some beating and rust eating stuff it worked a little better. I also have that obnoxious jingling sound and sometimes it shakes a bit while idling... I removed the front "skid plate" today to see if it gets any quieter. It was buzzing and clanging every time the door was shut, hit a bump, and at certain RPMs it would resonate.
If I find the jingling, or the cause of the intermittent missing, I will post it. Good luck to you.
WD-40 worked a little on the locks, but I think it needs more!

I applaud you for using the search function good sir.
Your mirrors not moving could be a mirror itself issue. My passenger mirror dosen't work in the up or down directions, but left and right works fine. opposite for the drivers mirror.
Your locks not locking could be the Actuator itself has gone bad, If one switch or the other opens it better than the key, i'd say its an actuator.
The obnoxious jingling is something thats hard to diagnose without hearing it. you say it resonates when you hit a bump? the fits thing to check could be your sway bar links.
Are you 4x4 or not?

Thanks for replying, I've been searching for quite a while, lots of people have the problems and nobody seems to know what it is... I took a short video of the obnoxious sound.
Yes, 4x4 off road. On my profile in the About Me explains my truck, I didn't want a huge signature with every post :)
http://youtu.be/VCEVUk8kLPs << you can hear grindy noise.

anywho, the front "skid plate" was what was resonating at certain speeds and "chattering" on bumps. I'm thinking of coating the inside of the "skid plate" with a rubberized paint, maybe... or rubber washers, maybe both.
already fixed mirrors, I think. driver's lock actuator works most of the time... passenger side probably needs replaced.

and i dont have a skid plate, but im building one lol

your brakes.... need to be replaced, the pads that is, and rotors, they are warped, which is the pulsating. im guessing your pads are spent from the warped rotors. and as for the engine noise, it's prolly in your bell housing. if you feel like looking in there. maybe a bolt or somethng that has come loose. the mirrors and locks, check the relays, and replace the fuses anyway, i mean its only $5.99 for a good fuse set.
