Me and my brother repaired a blown head gasket on my truck. Had the heads checked and surfaced. And now it has a misfire and low compression on number 1. He thinks it is a collapsed rings. Any other ideas. The engine has 100850 miles on it. I am thinking about putting in a 4.0 or 5.0.

 

the only time something like this happened to me it turned out to be a rubbed plug wire, so I was misfiring in #5.
which is awesome because I wouldnt drive the truck until I got it fixed. I saved almost $2000.0 for repairs (before I found out that was the problem) then took it to the shop and it only cost me $37.0
