93 3.0 skips bad

1993 3.0 112000 miles, replaced burned valve and associated gaskets. Idles good most of time. SKIPS often. Took it out the other night, after tinkering, ran like crap. One minute runs fine, then skips like crazy. New Cap, Rotor, Wires, plugs are fairly new. Timed to 10BTDC. Me and my buddy are scratching our heads. Any help is greatly needed and appreciated.

Pull the plugs back out and check the insulators for cracks . Make sure you're using a plug socket with the rubber insert.
Re-gap the plugs down to ".042 as the ignition coil may be getting weak.
If the truck has been sitting a lot for several weeks , add a can or two of drygas to the tank , as condensation can build up quickly.

Did as suggested, gapped to 42, no cracks. Think it actually runs worse. LOL. I would really like to start driving this truck, as I have owned it for 2 months, and only put 12 miles on it, test driving it. Anybody have any other ideas??????

Thanx in Advance

Shawn
