2004 Edge - Couple of questions

One engine and one suspension

Engine : After a CEL and a P0316 code I'll be ordering a crank sensor to replace the "faulty" one, should I go Motorcraft or is aftermarket fine?
Are crank sensor and crankshaft sensor the same part and only dumbs like me get confused?

Suspension: I'm looking for prices and options to lift the truck a little, and was wondering what's the difference between a body lift and a spindle lift. How's the ride with any of them and if there's any early deterioration on any parts due to the modification (spindle) ?

Thanks for helping me educate myself

I've never had any problem with aftermarket... crank sensor, crankshaft sensor and crankshaft position sensor are all the same thing.

A body lift does just that, lifts the body away from the frame. Your ride shouldn't change really at all as all your suspension geometry and steering are unchanged, aside from the steering shaft extention. Not sure how the ride is with a spindle lift... but I wouldn't expect much of a difference.

Thanks for the comment Fullscale, I got in touch with a shop here and they told me body lift and spindle lift were very close in price installed, so I think I know what's the deal with the body lift but no idea of the spindle lift, I think I've saw pictures around here but not sure what it really is and if it's better than a plain BL

might go with the t bars only, save the suspension money for something else.
Still need to order the crank sensor ..... where's that piece of crap on the 3.0 ?

Facing the front of the engine, it is at about 10 o'clock on the crank pulley.
