xcal 2?

How much gain has anyone gotten from the xcal 2 tuner? It is worth it to buy?

Everyone sells the xcal 3 now. Some say yes, some say no. I said no

Ya well i found an xcal 2 for sale for $100 and i was wondering if it would be worth it?

04blackedge Feb 19, 2009 02:29 PM

Yeah for that price I would get it. Make sure its been unlocked, that the stock tune was returned to the truck it came off of. If its not you have to send it to SCT and pay 200 bucks to get it unlocked.

Ok. I will make sure

from what Ive read and seen theres not much of a difference between the 2 and 3 just that the 3 allows for the tach to run up to 7000 rpms whereas the 2 only allows the engine to run 6800 rpms... either one is a great IMO and well worth it, great service that comes with it too

I agree with Trent make sure that its returned to stock and has your pcm code in it.

I think the 3 allows you to change more things in the tuner itself
