Missing Decals

Hey all,
New to this forum, but not new to Rangers. I've owned a total of three over my 35 years behind the wheel. I'm currently driving an F-150, but looking to move back to a Ranger. Long story.

Anyway, I've been looking at a number of different used Rangers. Mostly 2024 models. I stumbled across one the other day that looks good, but something caught my eye. Their online description says that it's an FX4, 4x4, and has the Sport appearance package, among other things. However, the pictures do not show any decals, like FX4, Sport, or even simply 4x4, on the sides of the box. The vehicle is all black. I actually ran by the dealership after hours and verified that there were no decals and it looks like all the specs match the pickup. Unfortunately, it's at a GMC dealer and they don't have a Ford window sticker on the car. No window sticker at all, actually. I tried running it on the Ford window sticker site and nothing comes up.

So, my question to all of you is, is there any scenario where a Ranger would not have any decals on the box yet have all of these options?

This. All it takes to remove decals is a heat gun or even a hair dryer.

This sorta surprises me. For some reason I always assumed that the decals had some sort of clear coat over them. I don't know why.

So if they can be taken off easily, I would assume that this means they can be put back on. I actually like the decals. Does Ford sell them to consumers? I did a quick search and everything I saw was aftermarket. I imagine that if I wanted to know which decal was shipped with the pickup, a Ford dealer could tell me based off the VIN.

I tried this and it came back with the "Please check back later" page, which I've seen in the past for other vehicles that I've looked up. Never quite understood why this works sometimes and doesn't work other times.

That's what happens when bots put spam on the forum.

i thought if you had the fx4 package, it automatically removed hte sport appearance package?

if its got the 2.3, just know there is no aftermarket tuner support. the only option i have found for my 24 2.3 (2wd) is the ford procal. its fun though and made a huge difference in the transmission feel. enough so that my son, who also had a 24 but a 4x4, said my truck felt totally different than his. he recently moved up to a 2026 lariat v6 ranger and loves it. he never had any trouble with his 24 4x4 ranger though, just wanted heated seats and the v6
